Outspoken and loud about non-English speakers who wouldn’t change the seat they paid for. I had to write this review because the flight attendants were so rude to passengers. Good prices for the seat space and no included bags. Will never be on another Spirit flight - hope they go bust soon - it’s what they deserve. Why would I actively downgrade my seat? Why should I have to pay to get the same seat I’d already paid for? What is wrong with this airline - if they think this is a good policy they deserve all that they get - I don’t mind low cost airlines but I detest sharp practice. I spoke to another agent who said the same, I spoke to a supervisor who said the same too. I thought the person dealing with it had misunderstood so I refused and called back. To change it to my “big seat” I would need to pay another $60. They told me it was my fault, that I had chosen that seat when I checked in. I called customer services to see if they could reallocate my seat. We checked in using the app the day before our flight and realised that one of us had been checked in ok but the other was back in the main cabin. We got an email confirming our upgraded seats and all looked good.

Before our return we got an email offering the chance to upgrade to “the big seats” at the front of the plane for $60 each, so my wife and I decided that was a good offer so went for it. Our outbound flight was fine, basic, but as expected. Spirit are AV low cost airline - I get that. So, I want to let everyone know what happened to me so that you all will learn to fly with anyone else if you plan on abusing the airline's policy of carrying on items to bring with you to your travel destination. I pleaded with them again, only to be reminded that if they give me a refund for their deceptive business practices then they'd have to do that for everyone. They told me all about the acceptable bag sizes, and how carry-on is an optional service for me, and that I should've understood that the charges were non-refundable. I had contacted customer service using an online form, and was contacted 3 WEEKS later. So, I paid for my backpack, and after arriving at the airport, I found out that the first one was free. I was confused by the e-mail because I thought that the first one was free, but didn't see anything said that it was. The company had noticed that I hadn't paid for any. Before my departure, I received an e-mail reminding me to pay for my luggage. I was flying from Las Vegas to Philadelphia with a backpack as my only piece of luggage.
